10:00 am PLAYER'S MEETING 10:30 am SHOT GUN START Come join us on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Alta Vista Golf Ranch in Victor, Colorado for the Double Down for the Byway disc golf tournament! This doubles tournament will have a shotgun start and take place on an 18-hole course at 9,400 feet altitude. Participants can look forward to a closest-to-the-hole prize on hole 16 and the opportunity to win amazing door prizes. Lunch will be available on site. Cañon City's Business Gamble
Cañon City businessmen financed the construction of Shelf Road in 1892 to capture trade from the booming Cripple Creek gold fields. Their gamble paid off initially, but competition from the Florence and Cripple Creek Railroad eventually put the toll road out of business.
The Hundley Stage Route
Teller County Road One follows the historic Hundley Stage Route that connected Florissant to the Cripple Creek Mining District. This stagecoach and wagon route linked the gold camps with the Colorado Midland Railroad, providing access to Colorado Springs and beyond.
