This doubles tournament will have a shotgun start and take place on an 18-hole course at 9,400 feet altitude. Participants can look forward to a closest-to-the-hole prize on hole 16 and the opportunity to win amazing door prizes. Lunch featuring local BBQ will be available on site. Walt Disney's Petrified Tree
In 1956, Walt Disney purchased a petrified tree stump from the Pike Petrified Forest near Florissant. The ancient specimen was transported to California and is still on display at Disneyland today, serving as a piece of Colorado's prehistoric past in the Magic Kingdom.
Rebuilt in Brick
After the 1896 fires destroyed most of Cripple Creek's wooden buildings, the town was rapidly rebuilt using brick and improved construction methods. Most of the historic buildings visitors see today in both Cripple Creek and Victor date from this post-fire reconstruction period.
